Library Saturday Snow

It’s supposed to snow tonight through a bit in the AM. I’m working 4 hours comp. time to help because one of our scheduled people had to lose in the family. The other person scheduled drive from NJ where the weather is normally worse and she’s no spring chicken to dig her out fast. So it might be fun times here tomorrow. I think this is at least the 3rd time someone can on their scheduled free day to help out. I know some places are slow and they can get by with little staff but here between 12-… Continue

Mighty quiet around here lately.

Is everyone as frantically busy as I've been, or is the apprehension leading to paralysis?

My Cat

Ok, so for anyone not in the know, my cat Molly was recently diagnosed with OCD... yep that wasnt a typo. The vet actually looked me square in the eye and said my cat has OCD. The time of being away is over, and I must unload and unpack...AT ONCE. Then I must get my mail from the post office and plow through it all (say it with me)...AT ONCE. Then there are emails. And now there are blogs. Like Basil Fawlty I wave my fist at heaven while I jump up and down. "Thank y

Someone help me before I blog again!

Okay, this is my third blog. My NYPL blog has an identity crisis: the folks who I hoped would read it for work info ignore it (much as they ignore my emails, memos and bulletin board posts), yet several good folks not known to me before have responded to my late-in-the-day babble about cocktails and playing games on my cell phone. My personal blog lies wasting away (due to lack of personality?).

And now here is this. Well I'm glad its here, and I hope that others join in.
